A documentary on famed celebrity photographer Harry Benson called “Shoot First” is being re-edited after making its world premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival this month.
Sources said the film, by Matthew Miele, who previously directed “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s,” is adding more details to stories behind some of the great photos featured in it.
The movie also includes appearances by Ralph Lauren, Henry Kissinger, Sharon Stone,Dan Rather, Donald Trump and others.
“Once I’m finished doing a job with a celebrity I don’t really want to talk to them,” Benson, 85, who also shot Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination, told us.
On Trump: “It’s very hard to be critical of somebody who allows you to do your job. They give the time to do what you want them to do, you couldn’t care less if they’re showoffs or not.”
