February 7, 2024, West Palm Beach, FL— Cavalier Galleries is delighted to announce our participation in the 21st annual Palm Beach Show, February 15–20, 2024. In addition to our booth presentation, we are excited to debut a Sculpture Garden showcase featuring figurative works by National Sculpture Society Fellows Jane DeDecker and Jim Rennert. Bjørn Okholm Skaarup’s fanciful bronze circus animals, including his iconic Hippo Ballerina—dually inspired by Edgar Degas’s Little Dancer Aged Fourteen (1879-1881) and Walt Disney’s Fantasia (1940)—bring whimsy and wonder. Also featured is Peter Kirkiles’ Sentinel, an 8-foot-tall bronze and steel replica of an antique folding ruler, which appears to both stand guard and gesture at forward movement. The centerpiece of the display is a 1975 stainless steel mobile work by the groundbreaking American sculptor George Rickey (1907-2002). And a monumental work by gallery sculptor Joy Brown greets visitors to the fair in the artist’s Palm Beach Show premiere.
At Booth 330/431, Cavalier Galleries presents a range of works by contemporary painters, sculptors, and photographers, as well as select works by 19th and 20th century masters like James Edward Buttersworth, Mary Cassatt, and Hans Hofmann. Featured contemporary artists include Frank Corso, John Terelak, Adam Umbach, Mark S. Kornbluth, William Nelson, Debranne Cingari, Paul G. Oxborough, Joseph McGurl, Maya Gold, and Max Ferguson.
